I had the honor of hosting the Namibian Delegation, led by the Vice-President, Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, and the Rt Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations, Madam Netumbo Ndaitwa.
I am compelled to share exciting prospects that emerged during the business dinner together with my fellow businessmen Ugandan businessmen under the Kwagalana Group. The Namibian Vice-President extended a warm invitation to the Ugandan business community.
His call was clear - it's time for Ugandan entrepreneurs to explore and invest in the vibrant opportunities that Namibia has to offer. Namibia, with its rich economic landscape and warm diplomatic relations with Uganda, is keen on fostering stronger commercial ties.
Madam Netumbo Ndaitwa emphasized the significance of appointing an Honorary Consul, yours truly, to facilitate business interests between our nations.
She affirmed Namibia's commitment to strengthening commercial diplomacy with Uganda, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our bilateral collaboration.
As we navigate the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the G77 plus China summits, the focus is not only on diplomatic discussions but also on creating tangible opportunities for mutual growth.
Madam Netumbo Ndaitwa is poised to take presidential office in November and therefore reiterated Namibia's eagerness to welcome increased investments from Uganda.
The evening was filled with optimism and a shared commitment to advancing our nations' economic interests.
In closing, let me express my gratitude for the honor bestowed upon me to serve as the Honorary Consul of Namibia in Uganda.
I believe in the transformative power of collaboration, and I look forward to witnessing the flourishing partnership between our two nations.
Stay tuned for updates on the journey ahead, where business leaders from Uganda will explore the boundless possibilities that Namibia presents.
Warm regards,
Godfrey Kirumira,
Honorary Consul of Namibia to Uganda.
